Narrow and long corridor in the apartment – very widespread phenomenon. And to make such space pleasant and comfortable for life not so simply. Designers offer several ideas which will make the long, narrow and dark hall lighter and spacious.

1. Visually to expand space of narrow corridor, issue it in light tones - bezh, coffee, all shades of pastel – light pink, light blue, peach, lime, light-olive, turquoise and so forth. If you are not frightened by frequent priborka of the apartment – it is possible to finish floor and walls of corridor in white color. It will allow special to freshen also abundance of light of your narrow hall. It is possible to dilute it with bright emphasis on face wall – for example, panel or vinyl sticker. Or to paste over part of wall with wall-paper with juicy print on white background. Such reception will draw attention in bright spot and will distract from narrow walls.
2. Visually to expand narrow corridor, paint walls with gloss paint or plaster. The reflected light will create effect of wider space. Also mirrors, photowall-paper with images of prospects can execute the same function.
3. Carefully think over lighting of the hall. The bright luminous flux will make long and narrow corridor visually wider. Here best of all pointed ceiling lighting and additional luminous sources on walls – sconce or LED lamps will approach. If you stop the choice on sconce, select flat versions of lamps.
4. One more successful reception for the narrow hall - segment its extent. The long and deaf corridor is on many people depressing, even oppresses and frightens. Therefore it is the best of all to put several perpendicular reference points in the hall or to use fragmentation reception – i.e. to segment all space of corridor (fragments). It can be done by means of furniture, arch, color registration of space. For example, to paint part of wall in other color, to change monophonic wall-paper for bright print, to hang up mirror from floor to ceiling on part of wall, to change lighting.
5. For long and close corridor the main thing – the strict organization of order, i.e. minimum of bulky furniture and freely hanging clothes objects. Even it is possible to build in compact sliding wardrobe with mirror doors very narrow corridor, having made it under the order by your sizes. Having put away all articles of clothing and other accessories there (for example, umbrellas), you receive clean, let and not big, space without blocking up by parts.
6. If there is opportunity, use for placement of furniture face wall, niches and corners to the maximum. So you will be able to win valuable centimeters too. If the full-fledged cabinet is not located in your narrow corridor in any way, organize wardrobe in one of rooms, but do not hang up on open hangers clothes in the hall at all. So you will create visual chaos and disorder which will eat small space.
7. Select the narrow hall furniture in uniform color gamma with finishing of walls. The less active elements, the will be more spacious to look your corridor, creating feeling of uniform space. The thin metal objects which are in contrast with the common color scheme can be exception: floor hanger, rack.
8. Try to choose furniture of the small sizes since in the close room the large dimensions look for narrow and long corridor it is bulky and occupy valuable meters.
