The person is not always able to define conditions of the accommodation. And often it depends not on financial opportunity at all: the role is played by affection for friends, transport, place of work and proximity with the center. Therefore if you have to choose the apartment in one of identical high-rise buildings, then the choice of the floor becomes the only available option.
The first floor – the most controversial decision. It has obvious and essential minuses which do the apartment much cheaper. Prepare that on stair enclosure of the first floor it is not necessary even to dream of cosiness, through it there will daily pass all residents of the house. It will affect also noise level (which is already high because of proximity to the road and the yard). It is more than that, on on apartments of the first floor the look of robbers most often falls. However there are also pluses: already mentioned price and safety in critical situations, it is urgent it is the simplest to leave the apartment on the first floor.
The second will be excellent alternative to the first floor. It is deprived of the bulk of shortcomings, but, at the same time, keeps all advantages of the lower tier. Neighbors do not have need to rise by the second floor if doors of the elevator are already on the first; it is not so simple to climb on the second floor; but in emergency situation all of you still remain in priority at evacuation.
The upper floor has opposite properties. It is cleaner, is lighter and, sometimes, is more spacious. It is not necessary to dream of purity of air, but it is possible to speak about reduced noise level for certain. However you, nevertheless, in zone of the increased danger: from roof if desired it is possible to get into the apartment; the thawed snow quite can "flood" you; at plate earthquake the first will depart from shelves at you; and at the fire fire will begin to spread up.
To rush to extremes – the bad idea. The most optimum is "average third" of floors: for example, in 15 the floor building it is worth looking for apartments around 5-10 levels. Actually they do not differ in anything (in any case, in the presence of the elevator) therefore there is space for personal preferences and reasons. For example, if you have small child, then it is more convenient to watch its game on site from first floors.
