Instruction
1. Sign is what you seek to study (certain phenomena, the relations of people to something, features of manifestation of any given processes). The set of points or answers (categories of answers) which you get from participants of a research are distribution of sign.
2. The easiest way of creation of the histogram of distribution of sign is to draw it manually. For this purpose it is necessary to draw the two-dimensional system of coordinates in which on axis X points and answers on the studied sign will be located, and on axis Y – the frequency of their occurrence.
3. Further it should be noted the received results on graphics so that at you vertical columns on number of noted signs turned out. Their height will be determined that how often this sign met. For the best perception of information the columns can be painted in different colors.
4. One more way of creation of the histogram of distribution is carried out by the same principle, but by means of the computer and, for example, the Microsoft Word program. On the toolbar you will need to find the Insert tab, and in its menu – "Illustration".
5. In "Illustrations" choose the Chart option, further, in the opened window specify - "Histogram". Having chosen appearance of your future chart, press "Ok". One more window with the table in which it is necessary to specify your results will appear. In parallel with it in the document there will be drawing with histograms which will change depending on the data entered by you.
6. As the research can be conducted on control and experimental samples, or on one group, but not once, and on the histogram all this can also be displayed by means of color and a legend – the signature to the histogram. It is convenient to present the same sign of different groups the adjoining columns differing on height and to designate answers of groups in different flowers.
