Linear speed call characteristic of change of spatial provision of an object. Express its ratio sizes of the passable way to a period for which it occurred. In the metric system of SI for measurement of this characteristic derivative unit - meter per second (m/s) is used. For rather small speeds it is more convenient to use other dimension - meter per hour (m/h).
Instruction
1. Calculate a ratio which should be used for recalculation of speeds from m/s in m/h. The difference between these units of measure consists only in dimension of an indicator of time (denominator), and the distance (numerator) remains invariable. As hour contains 3600 seconds (60 minutes 60 seconds), also the ratio between meter per second and meter per hour will be same.
2. Increase the value of speed measured in m/s by 3600 times to transfer it to m/h. For example, if the reference value of speed was equal to 9.8 m/s, then after converting it will be equal to 35280 m/h as 9.8*3600=35280.
3. Use for the transfer from m/s to m/h, for example, the standard program from structure of the Windows OS basic applications imitating the calculator. The reference to start of this program can be found in the section "Office" of the Subsection "Standard" of the section "All Programs" of the main menu of the operating system. It is possible to use and the Execute point in the menu on the Start-up button - choose it, and then enter calk and press the OK button.
4. Enter the reference value of speed measured in m/s - it is possible to do it both from the keyboard, and by means of the corresponding buttons of the interface on the screen. Then press a key with an asterisk or click on the button with this badge in the interface of the calculator. After that enter number 3600 and press the enter key - the program will calculate and will display the value of speed converted into m/h.
5. Use Nigma which are built in search engines and Google converters of sizes if you want to manage a smaller number of manipulations. For example, for transfer to meters in an hour of the speed equal of 7.85 m/s by means of Google search engine, pass to its homepage and enter inquiry of "7.85 m/s in m/h". The search engine will make calculations and will display result - "7.85 (m/s) = 28,260 m/hour".
