1. So, for a start take a common fraction and divide it into parts. For example, 2 1\8 in which is 2 the whole part, and 1\8 fraction. From it it is possible to see that the number was divided into 8 parts, but took only one. A part which was taken is called numerator, and quantity of parts into which divide, - a denominator.
2. In order that from usual fractions to receive decimal, it is necessary to divide numerator into a denominator. In this case, 1:8. Take the calculator or a leaf with the handle and count result. Write down the answer, it is equal to 0.125
3. Now before a comma specify the whole parts. Thus, if to transfer 2 1\8 to decimal fraction, 2.125 will turn out.
