For strengthening of emotionality and creation of other effects in literary works special syntactic methods are quite often used. One of them is parceling.
Instruction
1. Parceling are called special designs of expressional syntax which consist in intended partition on several punctuation pieces of the text connected by intonation: "Good shirt. Very good. My darling! White …". Here it is possible to carry known poems by Alexander Blok which begins with lines "Night. Street. Lamp. Pharmacy. Senseless and dim light …" In it similar reception is used for strengthening of effect of hopelessness and hopelessness.
2. The point or other punctuation mark which usually indicates the end of the offer acts as a key indicator of a syntactic gap: exclamatory and interrogative signs, dots, etc.
3. The binomial structure – a basic unit is characteristic of a partsellirovanny design and partsellit. Partsellit - it is the part of a design formed at the partition of a simple or compound sentence which grammatical and semantic depends on the previous context and has special structural features.
4. Treat the main functions of parceling graphic, characterologic, emotional and secretory and expressional and grammatical. Graphic it is directed to an art specification of represented and it is applied to creation of effect of the slowed-down action; allocations of certain details; specifications of the moments, important for art and figurative specification; statements of the unexpected pauses promoting creation of effect of surprise; strengthenings of contrast, etc.
5. Characterologic function allows to reproduce a speech manner of the character or subject of the narration. She expresses the peripheral connecting communication characteristic of the colloquial speech, includes colloquial intonation in the speech of the storyteller, creates contexts not actually - the direct speech, represents the internal speech and a condition of the subject of this internal speech.
6. Need of realization of emotional and expressive function arises at creation of parceling as means of strengthening of emotions, an emotional state or emotional assessment. In this case parceling serves for strengthening of emotionality of a statement or does not express concrete emotions, but contains an estimated component. Expressional and grammatical function serves for expression of certain syntactic relations.
