1. Use of aluminum potassium alum in the food, textile industry, in medicine and cosmetology is widespread. 2. Alum is used in medicine: them dermatitis, acute inflammations at eczemas, neurodermatitises treat. Apply to elimination of morbidity at a gingivita, stomatitis, a blefarokonyyuktivita. This medicine cannot remove a cause of illness, but with use of alum there comes simplification as they render the knitting and drying effect on the struck surface. Traditional medicine offers a set of recipes with use of alum. As alum possesses pernicious action on various bacteria, they are applied also in cosmetology.
3. Use alum in cosmetology for elimination of problems of skin, fat, porous, inclined to rashes. Them treat seborrhea and a hyper hydrosis. Often crystals of alum are used for production of natural salt deodorants, apply also them as a deodorant. For this purpose crystals of alum are moistened with water, then they process axillary hollows. This deodorant is in most cases effective and is very economically spent: one crystal weighing about 50-70 g lasts for a year of everyday use. Its advantage also that it does not cause allergies and can be applied in processing of an intertrigo at newborns also allergic persons can use it feeding.
4. As a result of heating of aluminum potassium alum, alum burned turns out. For a long time they are used when coloring natural woolen and cotton threads and fabrics as a protravitel. Paints the fabric processed by iron alum, alizarine in violet color. Green stalks and leaves, fresh processed by alum, give resistant paint of yellow color. It is suitable for painting of wool and cotton. For photoemulsions on a gelatinous basis use alum too. They are used at pharyngitis, tonsillitis and a tonsillitis for inhalations. Use of alum inside sometimes causes poisonings therefore it is necessary to apply them, as well as any other medicine, moderately and with care.
