The body creating around itself electric field which tension is sufficient for pulling of small objects is considered electrified. Electrizations give in both conductors, and dielectrics.

Instruction

1. The only way to load the subject made of the conductor is impact on it electric field. For this purpose put an object on a dielectric support, and then bring to it the electrified body of dielectric. After that also the conductor will begin to attract to itself, for example, polyfoam pieces.

2. To electrify dielectric, press it to the object made of other dielectric material, and then divide these objects. Repeat operation several times. Friction at the same time is optional - it only replaces repeated pressing of objects to each other. The further dielectrics are from each other in a triboelectric row, the better the result will turn out.

3. At drawing apart plates of the charged condenser which is not connected to anything its capacity decreases, and tension on it increases. The energy which is saved up in it at the same time does not change. This phenomenon is used in adaptation called an electrophorus (not to confuse with the influence machine in which the same effect is used). To make an electrophorus, attach the dielectric handle to a metal disk. Holding a disk only for the handle, bring it to the large, but slightly electrified subject. Then remove it - paper strips or foam balls will be attracted to it stronger, than to an object from which you loaded it.

4. Unlike the simple electrified bodies, electrets create around themselves electric field always as magnets always create around themselves magnetic field. To make an electret, melt a small piece of a candle on a superficial metal plate. Bring to it from above the electrified subject, but it is not too close that the spark did not slip, and vapors of paraffin did not light up. Continuing to hold a field source, cool paraffin and wait for its full hardening. Only then remove a naelektrishchovanny subject.
