As scientists learned to block drug addiction

The Australian scientists-researchers found a way to block drug addiction. They revealed small group of neurons which are responsible for pleasure and pleasure. Also learned to disconnect them.

Narcotic substances are capable to influence certain receptors in an organism and to block painful signals which come to a brain. Drugs cause sense of euphoria and happiness, but at the same time lead to formation of mental and even physical dependence. For example, opioids are capable to cause both of these forms. Cocaine, hallucinogens – create only mental. The leading narcologists are able to struggle quite effectively with physical shape of dependence, but experience some difficulties in elimination of mental discomfort at refusal of the narcocontaining medicines.

The majority of the known drugs influence brain neurons which are very sensitive to such substances as dopamine and serotonin. They have effect on these cages that as a result results in dependence as the high level of a dinorfin in a brain is developed. At the addict the constant feeling of a stress which is perfectly suppressed by the next dose of drug begins. Men of science invented the means blocking effect of drugs. That is the addict after intake of narcotic medicine will not be able to derive pleasure. What leads over time to disappearance and the main incentive of the use.

Experiments were made on mice. There were two groups of animals. One entered only drug (morphine), it entered another together with medicine which blocks receptors neurons. This means consists of a combination of medicines (buprenorphine and naltrekson) which influence different parts of a brain. The first can block receptors which are tied with action of the center of a stress. But it is not applied in medical practice as can cause dependence it is similar heroin. Scientists could eliminate this effect by means of the second medicine. By results of experience it was visible that at mice of both groups the sensitivity to pain considerably decreased. But those which received medicine did not show signs of accustoming unlike the first group. So far it is unclear how such treatment will influence a physical and mental condition of people. It is planned to find out further how receptors increase accustoming. If researches take place at the level, perhaps, people to learn soon simply and effectively to block drug addiction.
