1. Calculate the total power of consumers who can be exploited from the network fed by the generator at the same time. For this purpose recognize their rated power in network by the corresponding documentation. If there is no such opportunity, by means of the tester tuned into measurement of resistance find this size at each of devices in Ohms, then divide tension square in network into the measured P=U resistance²/R. Put all received capacities, required size will be result. At the same time the type of connection of wires in a chain is not important at all.
2. The received power of consumers should not exceed generator power if they are connected in network more than 5 minutes. If not to follow this rule, the generator can just burn down. Therefore when the generator is brought to the maximum power, constantly you watch its state, without allowing overheating of its engine and windings.
3. When calculating power of the generator consider that it has to exceed the total power of all consumers not less than for 25%. It will allow to prolong considerably a resource of operation of the generator, having excluded limit operating modes. Always there will be a power reserve for connection of the consumer which calculation was not made. At start of powerful consumers there will be an opportunity to generate their starting currents which can exceed considerably settlement from their rated power.
4. Consider capacities of devices which are not connected at the same time. For example, if audio and the video equipment works, in the house there are guests, then to very few people will come to mind to vacuum or erase. Such consumers it is possible to break into various groups. In this case it will be possible to take the generator of smaller power. At connection of electric motors and other devices with a high reactive resistance, consider coefficient of active power which increases the power consumption of the device.
