The frequency converter or "chastotnik" is intended for change of frequency of tension feeding the three-phase electric motor. Besides, it allows to connect such electric motor to single-phase network without power loss that it is unattainable when using for this purpose of condensers.
Instruction
1. In front of the frequency converter place the automatic switch calculated on the current equal to the rated consumed electric motor current. If the converter itself is calculated on work from three-phase network, use the special threefold automatic machine equipped with the general lever that at short circuit of one of phases also the others were cut off power. Its current of operation has to be equal to current of one phase of the engine. In case the converter is intended for single-phase food, use the unary automatic machine calculated on the trebled current of one phase. In all cases do not turn on automatic machines in a rupture of the zero or grounding wire - connect them to the converter directly. Do not operate a system without grounding and do not use a zero wire as grounding and vice versa. Do not turn on the automatic machine before completion of works on connection.
2. Attach phase wires from the converter to the corresponding contacts of the engine. At the last previously connect windings "triangle" or "star" depending on what tension develops the converter. On the engine two tension are specified - if developed by the converter corresponds smaller of them, use the scheme of connection "triangle" and if to bigger, connect windings "star". Do not connect a zero wire to the engine in general, and grounding connect to its case.
3. Arrange the control panel which is included in the package of delivery of the converter in the convenient location. Connect it to the device a cable according to the scheme provided in the instruction to the converter.
4. Set the handle on the remote controller to zero position and turn on the automatic machine. Press the inclusion button on the remote controller, and on it has to indication will appear. Slightly turn the handle that the engine began to rotate slowly. If it turns out that it rotates not in that party, press the reverse button. Then establish by the handle the desirable frequency of rotation. Consider that indicators on remote controllers many converters show not the frequency of rotation of the engine in revolutions per minute, and the frequency of tension feeding the engine in hertz. At decrease in frequency they automatically reduce also tension not to allow burn-out of windings.
