How to construct a triangle bisector

How to construct a triangle bisector

The triangle and its constructions are important in initial geometry. One of creation of a triangle – the bisector - represents the direct piece proceeding from one top of a triangle and connecting to a point on an opposite edge. At the same time the bisector halves a corner of this top. Generally creation of a bisector of a triangle comes down to carrying out a bisector of concrete top. This construction is carried out by means of a protractor. However creation of a bisector of isosceles and correct triangles can be carried out taking into account their geometrical properties without additional tools.

It is required to you

  • Protractor, ruler

Instruction

1. Construct the set triangle. Take a protractor and measure a corner of top from which it is necessary to carry out a bisector. Divide this corner in half.

2. Measure from the party of a triangle adjacent to this top, the calculated corner. Put the end designating a half of a corner of top.

3. Carry out through top and noted point a straight line so that it was limited to top on the one hand and the opposite party of a triangle with another. The bisector of a triangle is constructed.

4. If the set triangle is isosceles or correct, that is at a negoravna two or three parties, then its bisector, according to property of a triangle, will be as well a median. And, therefore, the opposite party will be halved by a bisector.

5. Measure by a ruler opposite I will shift a triangle where the bisector will aspire. Divide this I will shift in half and put the end to the middle of the party.

6. Draw the straight line passing through the constructed point and opposite top. It will also be a triangle bisector.
