1. Special attention needs to be paid on the fact that gold often is the satellite of quartz. And at impact of natural influences (wind, a rain, etc.) of a vein of quartz collapse, and gold together with parts of breed is washed away. Therefore, it is better to look for it in lowlands.
2. Having found the place of an estimated congestion of gold, carry out the qualitative analysis. Pour 50 grams of mercury in a test tube or other glass capacity and fill in it with water. Then, fill sand from the alleged field there, carefully mix all this, and then separate sand from mercury. Gold is well dissolved in mercury with formation of amalgam. Repeat this operation within 7 – 9 hours. If gold contains in sand, then mercury will gradually change color.
3. Further it is necessary to separate gold from mercury. Place amalgam in a distillation cube (principle of the moonshine still) and include heating. Mercury will evaporate, and gold will remain at the bottom of a cube.
4. Try one more way, take a sheep skin and fix it at the bottom of the river in which soil presumably there can be parts of gold. In half a year, get it and burn in any vessel. And process ashes mercury on above to the described way.
