Long locks, preparation for some types of operations, radiological researches, poisonings of an organism are the indication for a cleaning enema which exempts intestines from stool. Quite often cleaning enemas are used at treatment of intestines and an urinogenital system when it is necessary to enter medicinal solution into already cleaned intestines.
It is required to you
- Before giving an enema cleaning, it is necessary to prepare:
- To Esmarkh's circle (a hot-water bottle with open top and a rubber tube with a tip and the crane).
- A support for its fixing, or other means allowing to suspend it on 1-1.5 meters from the patient.
- Boiled water (800-1200ml) temperature 25-39os.
- Vegetable oil or vaseline for greasing of a tip.
- Podkladny oilcloth, vatu.
- A bucket or a basin, capacity for the used material.
Instruction
1. Pour water into a mug and, having opened the crane on a rubber tube, let out from it the air. At emergence of water, the crane needs to be closed. In the absence of the crane (for any reasons) it is possible to use a clip from make-shifts.
2. On a couch or a bed spread an oilcloth which edges have to hang down in a bucket or a basin and lay on it the patient on the left side (a back to yourself) in situation with the knees bent and bent down to a stomach.
3. Further oil or vaseline a tip. For free introduction it is possible to oil area of an anus. Fingers of the left hand move apart buttocks and enter a tip into back pass on 2-4 cm towards a navel, and then the rest parallel to a backbone. It is necessary to enter carefully to avoid traumatizing mucous intestines.
4. After the tip is entered, open carefully the crane or a clip and gradually enter water. Water has to come to intestines not too quickly. It can be regulated the provision of a mug, lifting it is higher or lower. After introduction of water take out a tip.
5. The large volume of water creates pressure which is shown by desires to depletion. If desires are not strongly expressed and are not followed by painful feelings, then it is better to detain water in intestines for 10 minutes and only then to empty. It will allow to wash out all departments of intestines will shatter fecal stones better.
6. In case at injection of water its receipt in intestines stopped, then perhaps the tip rested against solid stool, and it is necessary to move it a little, and to lift a mug above.
7. After the procedure wash a tip with disinfectant and boil.
8. It is impossible to give an enema cleaning at sharp intestines pains, irritation of intestines, bleedings, at loss of gemorroidalny knots and microcracks of an anal opening.
