- 100 grams of copper vitriol, bank, 100-150 ml of water, thread, pencil.
Instruction
1. Buy two bags of copper vitriol in any garden shop. Usually copper vitriol is on sale on 50 grams, therefore, you need to get 100 grams of vitriol for cultivation of a crystal. Take a small can and pour water into it. The amount of water should not be big, no more than 150 and not me 100 ml. Heat water.
2. Tie grains of vitriol to a thread, and fix a thread on a pencil. Thus, the pencil will lie on a neck banks and to keep grain in water. Choose only large grains.
3. Pour out other contents of bags in bank. You remember, water has to be hotter. Properly stir to achieve the oversaturated solution. Solution has to be dark blue color. Further at the bottom of banks the deposit will be formed until solution becomes saturated. When solution gets rid of glut, color will change on blue. If solution turned out not oversaturated, there are two decisions. Or buy one more bag of copper vitriol, or wait until the surplus of water disappears. In this case it is necessary to wait several days.
4. Cool solution. When temperature reaches room values, lower in solution earlier prepared grains on a thread. As soon as loss of a deposit begins, the kernel will begin to grow. Mineral grows about 4 days.
5. Once a day a crystal it is necessary to pull out and heat solution. Also stir a deposit, again cool solution and again lower vitriol grain. For smooth edges of future crystal the outgrowths from a thread can be cleaned off or dissolved.
6. Several days later get mineral, dry up. Cut off a thread. Do not allow long stay in water. The dropped-out deposit can be reused.
