How to make the plan of the thesis

Depends on quality of writing of the thesis, how surely you will undergo its protection. As well as any scientific research, dissertation work has to have strict structure, contain the logical and weighed statement of basic provisions. To satisfy these conditions, pay special attention to the initial stage of work on the thesis, namely – to drawing up a detailed plan.

Instruction

1. For a start make the working plan of the thesis. It will include approximate designation of sections, chapters and paragraphs. Fill each elementary (indivisible) section with several dozen questions which will reflect its contents. Formulation of questions reminds statement of specific objectives and helps to present research problems comprehensively.

2. Make more detailed version of the plan, having specified and having detailed characteristics of a research. Break each question indicating a chain of problems into the interconnected parts. After such detailed analysis it can turn out that the number of questions should be united by the new principles.

3. Use any form of presentation when scheduling the thesis. The working plan has creative character and should not hold down development of the idea and the researcher's plans.

4. You monitor maintaining accurate structure of the thesis which includes chapters, sections and paragraphs. At the same time there is no need from the very beginning strictly to set names of parts as their number and volume during work can change.

5. Consistently develop internal structure of each independent part of the thesis. At the same time observe logical communication and subordination of questions, having established that sequence which will allow to perceive a research as the finished work.

6. When scheduling you remember that each paragraph has to have research character. Include in formulations such terms how "to prove", "establish", "find out", "prove" and so on.

7. Number each position of the working plan, and appropriate to any collected unit of information the code. It will allow to systematize data and to build internally consistent structure of each paragraph.

8. Use separate cards when scheduling. On them it is convenient to write down questions which will form the statement basis. It is easy to rearrange, systematize such hand-written cards, changing their sequence. Use the same technology also by drawing up the preliminary list of the used literature, specifying the bibliographic description of sources on separate standard cards.

9. After completion of work over the original version of the plan once again attentively see it. If necessary edit the plan, eliminate violations of the logical sequence. After entering into the plan of changes you pass to its implementation.
