1. To distinguish Venus from other heavenly objects, it is necessary to know its properties. On them and also by the sizes, it is very similar to Earth. However, it is disposed closer to the Sun and has the aggressive atmosphere. Temperature of a surface of Venus - over 400 °C. The distance from Earth to Venus makes about 45 million kilometers. Most often its surface is difficult to be considered because of existence of huge dense clouds which consist of sulfur, carbon dioxide and dust. Only recently, thanks to new telescopes, became possible to see some of its sites. However, rocks, craters and canyons of Venus are not visible via any telescope. When examining naked eye Venus seems a small star in spite of the fact that actually it is the planet. It is allocated with only brightness as has the high reflecting ability at the expense of the dense clouds. It is possible to see it both in the morning, and in the evening.
2. Remember that it is the best of all to observe Venus in calm cloudless weather. If you want to see Venus especially bright, try to go for its observation out of town. In the presence of the field-glass surely take it. Usually Venus it is visible in an hour after sunset or for an hour before its rising. About seven months in a year the planet is visible mainly in the evening, and remained three - mainly in the morning. Unlike other stars and planets Venus it is also possible to distinguish on bright white I blossom. In the telescope it is possible to make out some phases of Venus. However, some people manage to make it and with the naked eye or by means of the same field-glass. Phases at Venus change, as well as at the Moon - in the form incomplete Venus reminds a sickle.
3. In the evening when the Sun sets, look for Venus in the West, and in the morning - in the east. This planet is sometimes similar to a comet, especially when close approaches Earth. Nevertheless at a comet it is possible to make out a tail which Venus does not have. Only this way it is necessary to differentiate the planet from a comet. Thanks to high brightness, sometimes it happens it is visible even in twilight.
