The astronomy for several years dropped out of number of the disciplines taught at schools. Modern students not always for this reason own even elementary ideas of space and its filling, cannot tell that there is a planet, an asteroid, gas giant and why it – not a star.
All planets can be divided into 2 views: terrestrial and gas. The planets similar to ours belong to terrestrial type. They have the small weight and the size. Planets of the second type represent gas giants. They consist, as a rule, for 99% from gases, generally it is hydrogen, sometimes helium, ammonia, etc. Huge clots of matter avoided absorption in a star and formed the certain planet of the huge sizes (for example, Jupiter).
Characteristic of gas giant
Gas is in the constant and fast movement, condensed in metal to the center. The gas giant has powerful mobility of the atmosphere. Wind speed on a surface can exceed 1000 km/h. Because of it it is possible to observe emergence of hurricanes often. The cyclone on Jupiter lasts not one decade and received the name of the Big red spot. The similar phenomenon is observed on the Neptune.
The stain on the Neptune is called Dark.
Huge planets are not a rarity and are not bad studied by scientists. There are copies impressing on the sizes and interesting to observations. For example, there are two gas giants similar to Jupiter which rotate from each other at so small distance that involuntarily there is a question: how do not they face? Careful researches of scientists showed that all huge planets have a large number of satellites and a ring. The last were noticed for the first time in the 17th century at Saturn. This phenomenon was considered as single in the solar system, despite assumptions of some astronomers of presence of rings at Jupiter. And in the 19th century the astronomers found out that rings are not continuous and sometimes vanish from a field of vision.
Planet murderer?
The rings consisting of the smallest particles are at a short distance disseminated and do not look as a unit. Thus, the visual effect of rings cannot be visible at a certain position of the point of view of rather gas giant.

Rings of different planets are not identical. Somewhere congestions can be 1 km wide that is the biggest size, somewhere — much less. And the density of a congestion of particles is non-uniform. In places it is possible to observe clots, in other place — dispersion. There are assumptions that places of congestions — nothing but destroyed as a result of absorption of the planet by the giant. Thus, the gas giant is in a sense the planet murderer.
