Often many people do not even think that they can feel some smells in own way. Happens and so that some aroma seems to one person pleasant while it can not be pleasant to another at all! And business concerns not only addictions here. Of course, people different, and everyone can have the taste. But nevertheless, people perceive various aromas in own way.
The human sense of smell is much weaker, than at many animals and yet it is quite sharp. People can distinguish thousands of various smells and shades, and some are even able to feel aromas in infinitesimal quantities. It is characteristic that the sense of smell can be contradictory feeling. It is influenced by various external factors: air circulation, existence of different other smells and so on.
So such sense of smell? It is ability to feeling and recognition of smells (even those which can be disseminated in air or are dissolved in water). Our function of sense of smell is put into two small, finding aroma, sites. They consist approximately of five million yellowish cages located highly in nasal passes. A human nose - actually principal organ which is responsible for recognition of smells. So, flavoring receptors in language can distinguish only four types of taste – sweet, sour, bitter and salty - all other tastes are found sense of smell.
What gives to the person sense of smell? Feeling the pleasant smells proceeding from favourite products, feeling wonderful aroma of flowers, the person can fully enjoy life. The sense of smell is also peculiar system of prevention, safeguarding. For example, gas leak, the spoiled products or fire can bring a trouble, however the sense of smell to some extent interferes with it. Any loss of sense of smell can negatively affect quality of life. As it often happens, with age at people the sense of smell becomes dull. It can be connected with the fact that olfactory fibers which are located in an olfactory nerve atrophy. It is remarkable that owners of the keen sense of smell are babies. However in a year of life this indicator decreases almost by 50%.
