Modern theories of the structure of substance in the Universe are in great need in confirmation of the most fundamental provisions - without it further work of the scientists who are engaged in them loses the meaning. The "standard model" describing interaction of elementary particles also belongs to such theories. It is necessary for confirmation of its correctness that in the nature there was a particle unopened so far with the properties defined in the theory - Higgs boson.

Search of traces of this particle which has to be shown at collision of protons at the speeds comparable at the speed of light are conducted on the most powerful the accelerator of particles today - a Large Hadron Collider. On its construction in Switzerland eight years and as much billions of dollars left. It is not the uniform unit - several independent complexes which allow to make seven long-term experiments at the same time act on its basis. Their purpose is to receive by means of data capacities inaccessible earlier about absolutely unknown or predicted in the theory elementary particles. Each of experiments has own team of the scientists conducting them, and thousands of physicists in the educational and research institutes scattered on all planet are engaged in processing of the received results.

The latest official news from Higgs boson hunters arrived in the first of July, 2012. At the integrated seminar of CERN (European organization of nuclear researches) and the ICHEP 2012 conference which was taking place in the Australian Melbourne heads of two research groups made messages of seven. One of them works on the compact muonic solenoid - Compact Muon Solenoid - of a hadron collider and therefore carries the name CMS. Another is called ATLAS (A Toroidal Large Hadron Collider Apparatus). Both conduct purposeful search of experimental confirmation of existence of Higgs boson and for 2011 and a half of 2012 was saved up by experimental data which already allow to draw preliminary conclusions.

Physicists consider that the processed data prove emergence as a result of collision of bunches of protons in a hadron collider of unrecorded earlier elementary particle. The properties of this particle revealed by the present moment keep within the predicted Higgs boson parameters. Scientists are not ready to say unambiguously yet that it the "god's particle" which gave an initial impetus to emergence of the Universe. They plan to publish fuller data in the second half of this year, and researches within these two and other five experiments will be continued.
