Continental France has a wide exit to the seas: to Mediterranean, Ligurian and Tirrensky, through English Channel to the North Sea and also to the Bay of Biscay of the Atlantic Ocean. The sea border of France is much longer, than overland. Besides, direct proximity to the seas define also climate of France – sea and moderate and continental.

The Atlantic coast is washed by the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea. In this area , regions Brittany, Loire and New Aquitaine are located.
The Atlantic coast is famous for the resorts, wide sandy beaches, mild subtropical climate with not hot litas and soft winters. The Bay of Biscay is open for waves of the Atlantic Ocean and therefore enjoys high popularity at fans of surfing.
Mediterranean coast - French riviera
The Mediterranean coast has an exit to the Mediterranean Sea and also its parts: Ligurian and to the Tyrrhenian Sea.

In hot days can rise also up to 35 degrees, but thanks to high humidity of air the closeness is almost not felt. In the winter average temperature is about 10 degrees of heat.
The swimming season begins in May and comes to an end at the end of September. Water temperature fluctuates from 20 to 25 degrees. Flora differs in abundance of plane trees, palm trees, cypresses and chestnuts. In French riviera there are a lot of parks, gardens and vineyards.
Known cities – Marseille, Nice, Cannes, Monte Carlo, Seong Track.
A third of the coast is given for territories of beaches. The majority of beaches sandy, are closer to Italy more often pebble meet. All territory of the sea coast belongs to the state therefore beaches are available for all comers. However, some beaches are paid and belong to nearby hotels or clubs. But also on each paid beach without fail there is a free site.
In Cannes the beaches are equipped with imported sand therefore there are no free beaches. The only public beach is located near the Palace of Festivals.
