Where still to look for the truth how not in a dispute? The dispute allows to look at current situation under different points of view. Each of the parties tries to prove the case and to disprove opinion of the interlocutor. But to make it it is quite difficult, especially if you deal with the skilled opponent. Rules of conducting a dispute will help you in this case.
Instruction
1. Study the opponent and his point of view. You should not prove stubborn that you are right, and your interlocutor is mistaken. All charm of a dispute is in that case lost. Try to put yourself to the place of the opponent, present how he argues why he adheres to such point of view. After you understand the opponent, you will have more opportunities to disprove its remarks.
2. Analyze the position. You have to know what the subject of a dispute and what do you think of all events consists in. The dispute for the sake of a dispute will not lead to anything efficient. Estimate the system of the argument. Find in it weaknesses and try to support them with additional arguments.
3. Beat out the opponent from a context. For this purpose answer not all remark immediately, and allocate those its parts which can be criticized most successfully. Of course, the rival will try to say your wrongfulness, that you caught only a part of a phrase. But if your argument is logical, then he will begin to respond to your statements, without noticing as he was beyond the initial performance. As soon as you bring the rival to the soil, shaky for it, the victory will be for you.
4. Criticizing the interlocutor, do not forget also about the position. You always have to remember that your initial purpose is the proof of correctness of your opinion. The inaccuracy of a position of the opponent has to follow from this principle, and not vice versa.
5. Ignore in whole or in part information arriving from the opponent. You can distract that will throw your opponent into confusion. There will be a pause which you will be able quickly to fill with the statement. Of course, it is frequent you should not resort to such reception.
6. You are respectful to the opponent. Remember that its personal qualities do not depend on the fact that between you there was a dispute. It is not necessary to pass to insults or to point out some defects. Remember that the dispute is an art.
