The judo is the martial art which arose in Japan. It significantly differs from boxing, sumo and karate. The judo is the combat sport without use of weapon based on the technique of divings, painful receptions, deduction and suffocations.

The standard set of the standard belts – white, yellow, orange, green, blue, brown and black.

For assignment to the pupil of belts the special ceremony is appointed. Thus, the effect and the importance of achievement amplifies. But the celebration is held not always. Many systems are based on strict estimation. Here pupils are awarded, relying on authoritative opinion of the coach having the special qualification granting to it the right to award degrees and belts. However even in this case assignment of degrees is carried out first of all for the sake of representation.

It is possible to tell that it is the opportunity for children to show the skills. In advance coaches decide what belt deserves any given pupil, relying on his efforts and results on occupations. In process of growing of the child, requirements for passing an examination become tougher. Achievement in judo of any qualification can occupy different amount of time. The greatest number of schools of martial arts appropriates to pupils the white belt in one or two months of occupations. The white belt is handed to the pupil together with his first form which carries the name - the kimono. The period of time between assignment of degrees, as a rule, makes twice more, than for the previous belt. Age requirements to some qualification degrees can slow down process of assignment of any given belt. For achievement of the main goal – the black belt – the pupil needs from six to ten years of persistent work. The martial art of judo can't be mastered earlier. For achievement of qualification the child will need huge amount of time and efforts at trainings. You shouldn't pay the attention to qualification degrees. It is much more important to be accented on achievements and development. The pupil has to be concentrated on continuous self-improvement and aspiration to become the best fighter. Assignment of belts is only simple designation of skill of the pupil.
