Since ancient times people noted surprising ability of bats to fly about obstacles in complete darkness, attributed them magic abilities, but the modern science declares - there is nothing magic in bats, for orientation in space they use echolocation.

1. Practically all species of bats lead a nocturnalism, so, they have to have the sense organs adapted to darkness. And it is valid in spite of the fact that bats have eyes which they are capable to see in the afternoon, generally they rely on echolocation.
2. The first researchers trying to understand abilities of bats closed up with it eyes and covered a body and wings with structure which had to make skin insensitive, but bats without problems avoided all obstacles. Only in the middle of the 20th century the scientists managed to find out how mice are guided in space. During flight the bats let out sound waves, and then catch their reflections from surrounding objects and thus create a world picture.
3. Bats make sounds in the ultrasonic range therefore we cannot hear them. But mice perfectly understand to the friend's friend. They have the special language numbering not less than 15 syllables. Mice not just make sounds, they sing songs which not only help them to be guided with space, but give the chance to communicate. The songs mice identify each other, attract females, resolve controversial issues of the territory, teach cubs. Some scientists put language of bats on the second place on development after human.
4. Bats make strong sounds therefore their ears during singing are closed by special partitions if the nature did not provide such mechanism, mice very quickly would lose hearing from constant overloads.
5. Cubs of bats own technology of exploring of space by means of ultrasound not at once, they study it gradually, in the course of communication with parents to whom they try to make themselves heard by means of draft sounds which as a result and are transformed to draft.
6. Bats can see obstacles in distance about 17 meters. They let out the signals either through a mouth, or through a nose, depending on a look.
