Burmilla is the cat breed having unique and interesting appearance. Cats of breed are subdivided into short-haired and long-haired. They expensive because of difficulties in selection.
History
The baroness of Great Britain had two cats belonging to different types and in 1980 the posterity turned out mixed, but the hostess did not reject it. She decided to be engaged in cultivation of new breed which received the name "Burmilla" from addition of two words "burma" and "chinchilla". The European association of cats recognized this look in 1994. The breed represents something between lilac burmy and the Persian a chinchilla.
Standard of breed
Size and weight. Burmilla is a small cat which weight from 4-5 kg, males up to 7 kg sometimes meet.
Head. It is elongated and wedge-shaped. Head of a cat rather narrow, muzzle roundish. Cheeks at a burmilla full, have a little flabby appearance. Large, wide ears at the basis and made narrower on the ends. The wide nose, at its basis is pronounced a bend. Are especially attractive at breed of an eye. They are big, roundish, almond-shaped, by the form as if are circled with dark almost black rim that does them by more expressive and at some representatives of breed seem slanting. Color of eyes saturated is also presented by shades of green and yellow colors.
Body. It is fragile and small, but at the same time brawny and strong. Paws and legs. Front legs harmonious and are a little shorter than back. Paws small oval. Tail. It average and a little made narrower to a tip. Color. It distinguishes this breed from others. At a burmilla ostevy the hair is a little more dark, than an underfur. As the main colors are recognized: red, blue, chocolate lilac, sable, shaded, smoky, tiger. Color of an underfur either silvery, or golden.
Character
Quiet, tender, patient, kind, attentive, true - it is possible to award with such epithets this cat breed. Her representatives become attached to people and like to sit on a lap, get on with cats and dogs. This breed badly transfers loneliness. She very much likes to play with various objects, to communicate.
Health
At this breed quite good health, the only disease peculiar these to creations — a polycystous, namely renal failure.
Leaving
Standard leaving. It is regularly necessary to comb wool, a minimum of times a week. For leaving use of brushes with a natural bristle or specialized hairbrushes for cats is recommended. Behind ears and eyes leaving which consists in wiping by the soft, moistened in water rag is required too.
