1. Distinguish birds on coloring of a voskovitsa – the reinforced site around nostrils. Up to three months of voskoviyets wavyof parrot of approximately identical color: pale violet, pink or blue shade. 2. With approach of puberty of voskoviyets changes the color, gets more saturated blue or violet shade from males, and at females becomes dirty-white, beige, brown. At some individuals of budgerigars to define a sex happens very difficult, for example at albinos. At such males of voskoviyets of light gray color and with age does not change therefore it is easy to confuse them with ordinary females.
3. For more exact sex determination of budgerigars it is necessary to observe behavior of birds during the day. Temperature condition, external activators can cause change of intensity of coloring of a voskovitsa. So at very young females the bluish shade becomes bright blue, as at males.
4. Each bird is individual, and approach to sex determination of budgerigars cannot be identical. Therefore, except everything told, it is necessary to pay attention to the behavior inherent in features of each floor.
