Instruction

1. Duration of an incubation period at animals is from one week to several months. Characteristic sign of the desease in the first stage is change of behavior - the quiet, good-natured animal becomes angry and irritable, does not react to call of the owner, hides in a corner. To the contrary, earlier spiteful animal becomes tender and unjustly brisk. The hypersensibility to noise and light, refusal of favourite food, eating of inedible objects is noted. A little body temperature increases. The hydrophobia (hydrophobia) is not always characteristic symptom of rage.

2. By the end of the second day of a disease there come signs of turbidity of consciousness, the dog barks without the reason, the voice becomes hoarse, the animal gasps for air, does other atypical involuntary movements. As a result of the accruing excitement she seeks from the house, nervously goes on the yard or the room. At this stage the animal can bite the owner by a hand, bite other animals. In certain cases there is a spontaneous urination, increase in a libido.

3. Every other day all above-mentioned symptoms amplify. The dog tries to escape, disappear from public eyes. Being put on a leash, she tries to tear a chain or to destroy the open-air cage, rushing on lattices. Having escaped, the dog can run many kilometers without stops. Meeting on the way of other dogs, she silently attacks them, bites in the head. Sensation of fear atrophies, the feeling of aggression dominates. At this stage symptoms of paralysis begin to be shown. The increased salivation owing to the complicated swallowing begins.

4. Later there comes the paralytic stage at which animals have a characteristic appearance - the tousled wool, the drooped lower jaw, the dropping-out language, constantly current saliva. Paralyzes of various parts of a body are added, the animal does not behave violently any more, it is oppressed and soon practically ceases to move. For the 8-10th day the diseased perishes.

5. At cats the rage proceeds even more sharply, than at dogs. Symptoms of a disease come suddenly, the concern and excitement sharply increase. Miaow becomes hoarse, the cat avoids owners, refuses a forage. Next day the animal becomes aggressive, with rage attacks dogs and people. Excitement lasts 1-2 days, and then paralyzes develop. Often cats from the very beginning of a disease are slaughtered into the secluded place and do not leave it to death. It comes in 2-5 days.

6. At emergence of symptoms of rage it is deadly to self-medicate an animal. It is subject to lulling to slip as it is impossible to save it. Infection of people and other animals is important to warn. The most effective way of fight against this disease - prevention by means of vaccination by antirabichesky vaccines.
