Canaries are birds of family vyyurkovy who were cultivated in the 15th century. Today there are several breeds of decorative canaries who are able to sing beautifully and intricately. It is important to feed correctly poultry, then they will look good and please you with the singing.
Instruction
1. It is necessary to feed canaries at the same time that in an organism of a birdie the reflex for allocation of the necessary amount of secretion in the system of digestion was created. Then the bird will better digest food and to acquire more nutrients.
2. Put a forage in special feeding troughs from a tree, glass or porcelain. But you remember that in wooden feeding troughs it is impossible to put soft egg mix, otherwise in them bacteria because of high humidity will begin to breed. Fruit and another vegetable forms give to a canary in wire holders. Pour water in separate ware: the bowl suitable by the size or in a so-called autodrinking bowl.
3. Buy for a canary ready grain mixes which contain oil seeds and cereals necessary for birds. They can be found in any pet-shop. Choosing mix, pay attention to packing: buy them in plastic boxes and packages, but not in bags, otherwise the pet can get sick. As a rule, seeds of a radish, a winter cress, a hempy seed, a millet and wild rice are a part of such mixes.
4. Separately flush to a canary and sprouts of seeds of a millet, they are especially useful to baby birds. Also baby birds can be fed with the hard-boiled eggs, having previously small chopped them, and the teasel seeds soaked in water. The soaked grains are useful to canaries as in water they sprout that increases their nutritional value. Wash out the necessary amount of grain, put in the container with hot water and leave for the night. Wash out once again in the morning and give to a bird, having put in a separate feeding trough. Throw out in the evening the remains as such grains quickly grow mouldy.
5. Grain mixes and seeds cannot provide to canaries of all necessary substances therefore it is necessary to supplement a diet of birds with mineral and vitamin supplements. Some mixes already contain these additives – by the form they remind kernels or balls, but birds seldom eat them, they choose only usual grains. It will be so difficult to follow canary food therefore buy better special vitamin powders which can be dissolved in water.
6. From time to time you feed a bird with egg mix. For this purpose cook egg, wipe it through a sieve, put a spoon of ground crackers and poppy. Sometimes add milk, cottage cheese, cod-liver oil, grated carrots, the chopped fruit or the sprouted seeds. Eggs are very useful to canaries: provide rapid growth to baby birds, maintain sexual activity of adult individuals and allow to improve skills of singing.
