1. Care for snails practically does not bring upon their owners special trouble. The main thing that in an aquarium were water, fishes and seaweed. All other, necessary for activity, the snail will make: both glass will clean, and will filter water. Many mollusks eat seaweed also help to destroy the pollution arising on plants and diseases. The forage intended for fishes perfectly is suitable also for snails who wish to regale on a water flea, gamma fair-haired and other types of food.
2. However, among inhabitants of an aquarium there are also very whimsical individuals. Among them - ampulyariya most of which ideal conditions for the contents are rather spacious aquarium, warm (26-28 degrees) water and a cut trubochnik. Least of all efforts deliver a fiz. For it it is enough to establish only an aquarium in well lit place and from time to time to treat with a small trubochnik and a water flea.
3. Despite usefulness of snails, owners of aquariums need to watch quantity of mollusks constantly. If it seems to you that snails bred too much, try to limit their reproduction. For this purpose reduce quantity of a fish forage. It is quite simple to learn the necessary volume of food. Track how many forages are eaten by inhabitants of an aquarium within five minutes. More this volume of food is not necessary. Thereby you will not pollute an aquarium and put on hungry "ration" of the snails.
4. Aquarian predators also I help to struggle with excessive quantity of mollusks. For example, very much like to regale on snails and to pick out them from botion sinks. Start small group of botion in an aquarium, and they will make the business. But be not overzealous!
5. If you have no aquarian predators, use a leaf of ordinary salad or any other greens. Place a grass in an aquarium and wait until snails gather for a leaf, and then accurately take it from capacity. If necessary repeat this procedure several times.
6. When replacing water and cleaning an aquarium place soil and stones for several minutes in the added some salt water.
7. If above-mentioned ways of reduction of population of snails did not help, use special zoochemicals and means. But they should be applied if the methods described earlier to reduce the number of undesirable mollusks did not work well.
