The cage is a lodge for rats, their personal territory. That animals felt comfortable and comfortably, well developed, fructified, long lived and kept activity, it is important to choose and equip the suitable dwelling competently. 1. Draw the scheme or draw the sketch of future cage. Consider that the optimum height of a lodge for a rodent – 80-100 cm, project width from 40 cm, and length from 60 cm. Plan several floors, ladders and regiments. Use the metal gauze with a size of cell no more than 2 cm on each party. By means of the tool on metal cut out cage sidewalls, a ceiling, shelves, openings for an entrance and a door. Grind keen edges a file, carefully straighten all elements. 3. Equip a cage with necessary elements – a feeder and a feeding trough. Do not use a saucer and a plate as capacity for drink as rats, as a rule, suit a toilet in such places. Get in shop a ready drinking bowl in the form of a cylinder with a metal tube and a ball, by means of a bracket attach it to cage walls. Do not offer a rat food in plastic ware, it can sgryzt a bowl, or will easily turn it. Use ceramics or metal.
4. Fill a pallet with granules, dense paper (for example, kitchen cellulose towels). Do not use coniferous fillers, rags and vatu, it can be dangerous to rats.
