At cats quite weak cervical muscles – therefore if you decided to walk the pet on a lead, the collar will not approach. Strong load of a neck can strongly injure an animal. Therefore it is necessary to get the breast-band representing in fact two collars connected among themselves. But to understand how to put this design on an animal, sometimes happens not easy.
Instruction
1. Breast-bands for cats can be a different configuration. Most often they have two fasteners – on a stomach and on a neck – and a ring or a carbine for fastening of a lead. At good breast-bands length of belts is regulated that will allow "to adjust" it precisely by the size.
2. To understand how to put this "harness" on a cat, be guided by the provision of fastening for a lead. Finally it has to be on a back, between shovels of an animal.
3. The closed ring of the small size is a collar. Accurately push in it the head of an animal and develop so that fastening for a carbine was located on withers. On a throat at the same time there will be a connecting crossing point. Adjust the collar size – so that between a ring and a throat of a cat it was possible to push a finger. In that case the breast-band will not prevent an animal to breathe, but the same time it will not be able to slip out it.
4. Serially drag a paw of a cat in side rings of a design and clasp a crossing point on a breast at an animal. Adjust length of thongs – the breast-band has to sit rather densely, but not cause physical discomfort. "Gap" between thongs and a body of a cat has to be such that in it passed already two fingers.
5. You do not hurry to fasten a lead – let's an animal get used to his new ammunition and to reconcile to it. Most likely, your pet will protest and try to pull together first from himself a breast-band though some cats treat them very calmly. If the animal is nervous, try to calm him, to entertain, treat with something tasty. Also do not tighten the first session of stay in a breast-band for a long time – as soon as the cat ceases to be nervous and will relax, remove from it "harness".
6. After the animal gets used to a breast-band, it is possible to fasten to it a lead. It can be cotton or nylon, it is possible to use also the leads roulettes intended for little dogs. Optimum length – 2-3 meters.
