1. The young polecat is curious, playful and easily makes contact with the owner, gets used to it. It is necessary to be ready to the fact that in communication and games with a small animal the owner should see off till some hours a day. The polecat who got used to hands from early age should not show aggression. And still, having played, he can bite, and is quite notable. In this case the polecat needs to be punished in the suitable ways: to hiss on him as it does horikha-mother concerning the puppies when she is dissatisfied with something; to shout loudly; to stop a game and to return a small animal to a cage; if near at hand there is water, he can sprinkle a little on a muzzle. Any punishment should not be cruel, otherwise the effect of it will be opposite to that which you try to obtain: the polecat will be afraid of people, and the fear, as we know, generates aggression. Success and speed of domestication will depend also on that, how comfortably is to a polecat with you as far as the owner knows and meets his needs therefore it is not necessary to disturb a small animal during meal and a dream: soon the polecat will adapt to your daily routine – will sleep when you at work and to wake up when you come back home. It is also important to eliminate any irritating influences as, for example, loud sounds which polecats do not love sharp movements of which the small animal can be frightened.
