Highlighting — is still very relevant among all other hairdresser's services. This simple procedure is capable to give the visual volume and splendor. If you for any reasons do not want to ask for the help in salon, then will quite cope with it independently, at home.
Instruction
- Prior to highlighting prepare cotton pads, hairpins for fixing of locks and hairbrush with the pointed handle for their division. The clothes can be soiled therefore put on old t-shirt or dressing gown which you are not afraid to spoil. Earlier in hairdressing salons for small highlighting the hat grid was used, but it is not necessary (and it is not desirable) when painting larger locks. Such highlighting is made easier and looks much more naturally due to smooth transition between flowers.
- For color highlighting you need paint and coloring shampoo and if you want to clarify only some locks, then it is possible to manage the clarifying means. Coloring shampoos and balms well are suitable for the decoloured hair. It is the best of all to get in shop or the hairdresser has specialized means for highlighting in which package all necessary is already included.
- You apply paint on dry hair. Conveniently sit down in front of the mirror and brush hair, as usual you do it.
- Attentively read information which is contained in the instruction to paint. Use protective gloves. You will find two bottles in packing: color and fixer which contents need to be mixed.
- Divide hair into several sections and fix by hairpins. Begin coloring with occipital part, then you pass to sides, the top of the head and front part.
- Allocate with the pointed end of hairbrush lock for coloring. Use brush applicator with paint and comb lock. Paints has to be enough to cover lock completely. Put dyed hair aside so that not to touch the others.
- Continue to allocate further locks and to paint them. Your movement has to begin from nape and go to forehead. In each new row paint about 5 locks. You remember, the locks are thicker, the more there has to be between them distance.
- Painting locks about the person, surely enclose under already painted cotton pads since the contact of skin with paint can cause irritation.
- When coloring is finished, wait about 20 minutes, keeping paint. Time can vary, everything depends on saturation and shade of your hair. The hair are more dark, the more time is required for coloring (but no more than 45 minutes).
- Wash up hair. On your hair there should not be paint since it will continue to work. Surely use balm or hair conditioner.
