Reading books has a positive impact on development of the child, his formation as persons, broadens horizons. And if the child with pleasure picks up the book, then happy parents need only to be happy. But sometimes reading books does not cause interest in the kid. In this case interest should be awakened. There are special techniques helping to acquaint the child with books.

1. For a start try to understand what books will suit the child. The fact is that small children will hardly show interest in too difficult books in their understanding. Acquire only those works which correspond to age of the baby. The simplest story line and simple phrases made of words familiar to the kid will help to acquaint the child with books.
2. Try to interest the kid and an associative method. Acquire the work on which pages heroes well familiar to the child are represented. Bear, duck or doggie … It is possible even to pick up such books in which the animals strongly similar to favourite toys of the baby will be presented. He surely will be interested in an opportunity to study "favourites" on pages of the book.
3. When the child becomes more senior, try to explain to him why reading books is so important. It is possible to carry out, for example, communication between acquaintance to literary works and positive school estimates. Besides, choose those books for the child which plot obviously will interest him. Who as not parents, knows that he really occupies their child.
4. It is possible to acquaint the child with books also own example. Arrange joint reading. Children like to spend time with parents, especially, if those are much engaged at work. So why not to make joint leisure useful?
