The neonatality period the most difficult stage in life of the kid as there is adaptation of many systems of an organism to the new environment. These days only the umbilical cord which is so vulnerable that demands daily and correct care reminds of pre-natal life of the child.

- Sterile Q-tips or sterile cotton wool and disinfectants - 3% peroxide of hydrogen or 70% ethyl alcohol, 2% diamond greens or 5% potassium permanganate solution will be necessary for processing of an umbilical cord. All manipulations have to be carried out by clean hands.
Instruction
1. Moisten the end of a Q-tip in 3% solution of peroxide of hydrogen and carefully clean a bottom of an umbilical wound. Remove all visible crusts. Do not forget about folds around a navel. In them allocations which can lead to infection and inflammation most often accumulate. Delay skin around an umbilical cord aside and process all places hidden behind folds.
2. After processing of a navel dry it a dry tip of a Q-tip. Take another, moisten it in 2% spirit solution to diamond greens (brilliant green), and process in the same sequence.
3. After all manipulations leave an umbilical cord open. Do not stick it and do not powder. You watch that edges of pampers also did not cover it. So the umbilical cord will quicker dry up.
4. It is possible to cover an umbilical cord only in case of its reddening and a moknutiya. In this situation, after processing of 70%, solution of alcohol and then 5% margantsovokisly potassium, imposes a sterile gauze napkin.
5. At emergence of the expressed reddening, strong serous separated from an umbilical cord, it is necessary to see urgently a doctor behind consultation on leaving and treatment.
6. After final scarring of an umbilical wound and formation of a navel, processing becomes the Q-tips moistened in oil or boiled water.
