Need of loading of the folder with files on the website arises in case the administrator of a web resource wants to show to visitors a large number of files. It can be photos, songs, text documents and others various, often diverse, files. To upload the folder to the site and to provide it in open access it is possible in two ways.
Instruction
1. The first way – use of archive. For archiving of the folder use the WinRAR shareware program.
2. After installation of the archiver on your PC click with the right mouse button the archived folder and select the Add to Archive … item in a context menu. In the appeared window select a format of compression (RAR or ZIP) and enter a name of future archive Latin letters then press the OK button. As soon as the level of wrapping reaches 100%, in the same directory where the initial folder is located, the archive with the name set by you will be created.
3. The turned-out archive needs to be loaded into the Internet. You can use FTP connection and load the file of archive directly on a virtual hosting. At the same time you can create the new directory or load archive into a website root.

4. If the physical volume of a hosting does not allow to load archive of the big size on FTP, or there are other restrictions, use the free file hosting service. As the best file exchange networks reckon with a possibility of broken download resume of the file:

- iFolder.
Do steps 1 and 2 and load archive on the file exchanger. After loading of the file on the exchanger, you receive the unique link which needs to be posted on your website that any user could download archive and browse contents of the folder located in it.
5. The second way of loading of the folder on the website – direct copying of the folder on FTP connection. By means of the Total Commander program or other manager of connections, create new FTP connection, having specified the website address, the login and the password from FTP and also the server address. Copy the folder with contents in a root of the website or in any directory, including new. In that case all links to files will be straight lines. Having downloaded the New folder in a website root, you receive the address:
