1. The world of modern computer technologies represents us a huge number of the devices capable to facilitate creation and setup of own local area network. If you plan to integrate more than two devices, then you by all means need a switch, the router or the router. Acquire one of above-mentioned devices and install it so that to have an opportunity to connect to it all required computers. For creation of an extensive local area network several switches can be required by you.
2. Connect all laptops and computers of future local area network to the device selected by you. If you have the printers capable to accept information via the network cable, then can turn on them in a local area network also. If you need to create internal network with use of several switches, then remember the simple rule: never connect switches by a ring method. I.e. do not allow the scheme in which three switches would be connected with each other.
3. For stable work of an internal local area network and quick uninterrupted access to shares you need independently configure a configuration of network on each computer. Select any laptop or the computer in network. Open settings of connection to a local area network. Turn into properties of the internet protocol TCP/IPv4. Enter IP-adrec in the respective field. Click Tab. It pozolit to the operating system automatically to give a subnet mask for this connection. If at your local area network there is a router or the router by means of which Internet access is provided, then specify its IP address in The Preferred DNS Server and Main Gateway fields.
4. Repeat the previous point for all other laptops and computers. If you want to protect any device from Internet access, then do not fill the last two fields.
