There are several ways of connection of the house to the Internet. What to select from them, depends on existence of technical capabilities, desirable speed of connection and those funds which the subscriber is able to afford to pay for Internet access.

1. Everywhere, where there is a telephone line, the easiest and reliable way is connection of the Internet through ADSL. Leave the request for connection on ADSL technology in that telephone company which communication services you use. Buy the ADSL modem, a splitter (the device selecting a modem signal from a telephone line), a cable for connection of the modem to the computer. Connect the equipment and enable support of the PPPoE protocol on the computer.
2. By means of a telephone line it is also possible to connect the Internet by means of connection ""Dial-up"". For this purpose the modem, a cable and the computer is required. Minus of such connection consists in very low access rate in network.
3. Inhabitants of high-rise buildings in the large cities can connect the so-called Internet "from the socket". It represents the telecommunication connection using the power supply network for information exchange. The PLC adapter which connects to the computer by means of the network cable is connected to the normal socket. Speed of such connection is up to 100 Mbps.
4. In densely populated districts of the city the inhabitants can connect to themselves the Internet on the basis of broadband access in network – FTTB now. Speed of such Internet can also reach 100 Mbps. The equipment for connection are provided by provider.
5. The satellite Internet — wireless connection which connection requires a satellite dish, the DVB card, the converter. It is necessary to have the channel of outgoing traffic through GPRS or Wi-Fi for functioning of the satellite Internet.
6. Wi-Fi the Internet is providing access to network through a wireless link. This way of creation of networks requires existence of access point (server) and the client to whom the network is directly provided. Creation of Wi-fi network will require the network adapter and access point in a cover zone of Wi-fi network.
7. Access to 3G and 4G networks provide telecom operators, directly via the cell phone or via the special equipment – modems. Data transmission rate in 3G networks reaches 384 Kbps, in 4G of network to 10 Mbps. Phone or the wireless modem with support of technology of network and a cover zone of telecom operator is necessary for connection to 3G networks and 4G of generation.
