If you use cable connection to the Internet, then it is possible to create such local area network, each computer or noubtuk which will get access to a world wide web. For this purpose it is not obligatory to use the router at all.

Instruction
1. Buy the network interface card and connect it to that computer which already has Internet access. If in this computer there are no free slots of PCI located on the motherboard, then buy the USB-LAN adapter. They are capable to provide rather high data transmission rate even when using USB 1.1 channel.
2. Connect this network adapter and the network interface card of the second computer by means of the twisted pair cable. Turn on both PCs and wait for loading of operating systems. After a while there will be a definition of new network. At first configure operation parameters of the first PC. In this case it will perform functions of the proxy server. Open a Network and Sharing Center and pass to the list of active network connections.
3. Open properties of the network adapter connected to other computer. Select the Internet Protocol of TCP/IPv4 point and click "Properties". Include use of the static IP address. Set its value. It is better to use address 192.168.0.1. Save settings of this network adapter.
4. Open properties of your connection to the Internet. Find the Access tab and open it. Allow to use this connection to the Internet to other network users. Save settings and reboot.
5. Open properties of the network interface card of the second PC. Pass to setup of operation parameters of TCP/IPv4 protocol. Install constant IP address 192.168.0 for this network adapter. H. Naydite Main Gateway and Preferred DNS Server points. Fill out them with IP addresses value of the first computer. Save settings and turn on the web browser. Check activity of connection with the Internet. Disconnect fayervoll on the first computer if Internet access did not appear.
