ICQ – popular network for instant messaging. Its advantages is fast exchange of the necessary information via the interface of special programs which represents two elements – a window of contacts and a text box for input and viewing the received messages.

Instruction
1. Before use of ICQ you will need to install the client program which will allow to carry out message exchange. Pass to the official site of ICQ.com service and click "Download ICQ". You can also load alternative versions which are used for instant messaging in service. So, other popular program for implementation of communication can be QIP and Miranda which have not smaller functionality and can be loaded also from the official site of the developer.
2. After the end of loading start the received file and follow instructions of an installer for installation of the application on the computer. After installation you receive the corresponding notification on the screen. Then you can start your program, having double-clicked on the appeared desktop icon with the name of the installed client.
3. Specify data for execution of a login to your ICQ account, namely UIN (9-unit number of your ICQ) in the appeared window and the password. Click Enter. If all data are correct, after execution of an input you will see the list of your contacts and now you will be able to receive messages from other users of service.
4. To read the received message double-click with a left mouse button in a program window on contact about which the icon of the received letter is displayed. Also you can see the blinking icon in an application window or the panel of notifications Windows located in the right part of the Start-up panel. Click this icon for opening of the message.
5. Before you the window in which the text of the message transmitted to you via ICQ will be written will open. After reading it will change the status with received that will be displayed in a window at the user who sent this letter. To answer contact, move the mouse cursor to the text box located in the lower part of a window and click a left mouse button for installation of the pointer. After that begin to print the text of your answer. As soon as the answer is printed, click "Send". Receiving and sending the message to ICQ it is complete.
