Instruction
1. All information on your location, provider is easily installed to the IP address.
So, select with a mouse and copy the network address of the computer. The IP address represents the sequence from four numbers from 0 to 254 everyone. Separated by a point. For example, you can learn the address, having used special service on the website http://whatismyip.com. Or, having entered in the command line of your computer running the Windows operating system, the ipconfig or ifconfig command if your computer is controlled the Unux operating system.
2. Come on one of many websites providing WHOIS information. It is the network protocol of the application layer allowing to obtain information on owners of the IP addresses (which also providers are) and domain names.
One of the leading websites for establishment of data on the IP address is http://ripe.net/.
In the upper right corner in the horizontal menu click on the link RIPE Database Search (http://www.db.ripe.net/whois).
In a text entry form in the center of the screen insert the IP address copied in a clipboard. The address can be entered and manually. For search click Search. If you were mistaken when entering the address, click Reset Form to clean the field.
3. Information which you will see will comprise the legal name of the organization of provider in English, its legal address and contact phone numbers, range of the IP addresses which is registered for this provider. The provider provides these IP addresses to the clients using its services.
4. Besides, if business concerns judicial proceedings and white papers are necessary, make lawyer, the subpoena or request of the investigator, having addressed it to regional Internet registrar RIPE NCC (http://ripe.net) to the address: RIPE NCC, P.O. Box 10096, 1001EB of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The inquiry can be sent also e-mail. The e-mail address depends on a request essence.
