During the merging of several networks or implementation of reorganization in one local area network, its change needs to change value of some parameters. It is possible to make it quicker in the manual mode.
Instruction
1. Connect routers or network hubs to integrate several local area networks. Remember that network devices are strictly forbidden to be connected among themselves in the ring way.
2. Get access to the necessary computer which is a part of the received network. It is possible to make it, without resorting to advanced settings. It is possible to face problems only in case of need creations of the general network resources or installation of the public printer. To prevent emergence of intra network errors, make setup of parameters of network adapters.
3. Configure additional devices, before change of a subnet the computers already had Internet access. Use "Network and Sharing Center".
4. Open "Change of parameters of the adapter". Click with the right mouse button the new network connection formed through a local area network and come into its properties.
5. Go to the Internet Protocol of TCP/IPv4 tab and activate point under the name "Use the IP Address". In the first field specify IP matching the first three segments with the addresses of computers in the main network. The value of the last segment which is already used by other device does not need to be touched.
6. Click Tab, and the subnet mask will be automatically provided to you for the network adapter. In case of need uses of other value you can change it independently. If it is necessary, specify values for the DSN server and the main gateway. This field usually fills if providing for this access device to the Internet is required.
7. Repeat the algorithm of settings mentioned above for network adapters on other computers. Do not forget that every time it is necessary to enter identical value for a subnet mask, but the different IP addresses for network devices.
