Recovery of visual bookmarks of the used browser can be required by the user after unsuccessful updating of the application or failure of reset of a system. Operation does not require attraction of the additional software and is carried out by the Windows OS standard tools.
Instruction
1. Open the main system menu, having clicked "Start-up", and pass into the All Programs point Start the used browser and open the Bookmarks menu of the top service panel of an application window. Specify the Show All Bookmarks point or use a combination of function keys of Ctrl, Shift and B. This action will lead to opening of a dialog box of library of bookmarks, containing necessary instruments of recovery.
2. Select the section "Import and Backup" and open the link "Restore". The offered recovery options usually are:
- recovery from the archive copy;
- recovery from the file.
Select the necessary file. If the directory of bookmarks is not displayed, expand the link "Select the File" and specify a full path to the necessary file. Close a dialog box of library of bookmarks. Pay attention that saving the backup copy of bookmarks of the browser is executed by the application once a day. Save the made changes, having confirmed replacement of the existing visual bookmarks saved in the backup copy, in the opened window of request of a system.
3. As an alternative method of recovery of visual bookmarks of the browser their import from the HTML-file can serve. For this purpose return to the section "Import and Backup" and use the link "Import from HTML". It is necessary to consider that this way will help only on condition of preliminary saving visual bookmarks the HTML format with the separate file and it cannot be used at failures of a system.
4. Open the Setup menu of the top service panel of a window of the browser and specify In the addition point. Apply a checkbox in the line "Show Visual Bookmarks when Opening a New Tab or Window" and save the made changes, having pressed the OK button. Select the Expansions bookmark in the opened dialog box and find a line of the necessary plug-in. This action should lead to recovery of visual bookmarks of the browser.
