Besides that owners of the website periodically change names of sections or categories, or move articles from one subsection to another, they can change also the domain on which there is a website. As a result a great number of references in the website will be irrelevant.

1. To update links, it is possible to use the simplest, but in the labor-consuming way – manually change a domain name in each of them. If your website rather new and articles on it is a little, then this process will not take a lot of time. However for the big websites with one hundred links the manual option can turn into wearisome and ungrateful work.
2. More effective option is so-called "Backup". It is used by most of bloggers who are active and need periodic update of internal and external references. For a start open the page of the website or the blog and become authorized on it, having entered the login and the password. In the opened main window select the Control panel tab and find the section on creation of the backup copy. Create the copy of files of your Internet pages, or "Backup".
3. Most often the backup copy represents archive. Therefore for further process of update download the created files and extract them on your computer in the separate folder. Open each decompressed file by means of the program of the text editor in which there is a possibility of automatic replacement. Use this option for replacement of an old name of the domain in links to new and also delete such attribute as rel= "nofollow" in links. This attribute, as a rule, conducts on internal pages which already became outdated.
4. As soon as you change all old links, save all files in uniform archive and begin to rock back to the website or the blog. As independently it will be impossible to select files from this archive, contact support with the letter in which tell that replaced the domain and for update of links made Backup. Write that it is necessary for you that the technical support included recovery of new files from the loaded archive, and wait for update.
