With emergence and rapid development of the Internet additional concepts which already became today usual began to appear. One of them - the ban (to ban).
What is the ban?
Such concept as the ban, it is quite often possible to meet at different forums, torrent trackers, on social networks, etc. Sooner or later each beginning user can ask a question - "What Means to Ban?". The word in itself the ban can be perceived as the ban to action. The ban in the Internet is quite popular way of control of different actions of users. Certainly, in this regard it turns out that the word to ban means restriction of the user in some actions, that is he loses some rights or acquires the limited rights.
An opportunity to ban the person was implemented in the Internet for a long time to protect Internet resources from some jokers, spammers, vandals and other people whose actions generally bear harmful character. Usually ban those people who do not follow requirements of a web resource. Most often it happens because people are rude to someone, prevent productive work of the website, etc.
How it is possible to ban the person?
It should be noted that usually the ban works within only that website on which the user was registered and similar measures were taken against it. Either the owner of an Internet resource, or his administrator can ban such person (sometimes moderators). As a rule, the ban affects only one account. Naturally, it turns out that the banned user has opportunity to register other account and to continue to disturb people one way or another. Of course, on some resources there is a special type of the ban - to the user's IP address, but also there are holes. First, most modern providers provide to the users dynamic IP. Therefore the user can only reboot the Internet and again use a resource. Secondly, the banned participant (even if at him not the dynamic, but static IP address) can use special proxy servers or change the IP by means of the special software and besides, to use service where it was banned.
In fact, the ban is very cruel and most last resort of punishment of the user for non-compliance with rules of some Internet resource. As a result it turns out that the ban - a way of fight against users who or prevent productive work of service, or a way of fight against such users whose messages are for any of several reasons objectionable to the administrator or the owner of the website.
