The last researches show that people who often eat vegetables and fruit, for example, 3 times a day on one fruit or vegetable are less often subject to a stroke (the general indicator decreases by 22%) and to the hemorrhagic attacks (51% less).

 What is interesting, the fact that this habit was effective, irrespective of a way of life of the person is encouraging: smoking, the high level of cholesterol whether the person practices physical education or not, etc.

 For women the most relevant research was conducted in Harvard - on 90,000 nurses within 8 years. Women who ate, at least, one carrots a day for 68% were less inclined to strokes. Concentration of potassium in blood can be one of explanations. Potassium protects a mucous membrane of blood vessels (endothelium) from the damages caused by free radicals.

 Potassium contains in carotinoids. These are fruit and vegetables of orange or yellow color: oranges, apricots, carrots, bananas, sweet potato. And also in spinach, beet, tomatoes, avocado, almonds, soy, haricot, fish.

The large role is played also by vitamin supplements which can daily be entered into a complementary diet. Besides, vitamins E and With and folic acid provide normal functioning of nervous cages and protect blood vessels from a stroke.

 Consumption of tea protects a brain. Its structure contains a significant amount of flavonoids – substances which fight against inflammation and a degeneration of cages. Black tea is more preferable to these purposes. At people who drank on average 4-5 cups of tea a day the risk of a stroke decreased by 73%.
