It is difficult to present a day diet without potatoes. This vegetable is added to soups, salads, casseroles and pastries, do of it various garnishes to meat dishes and fish dishes. The most pleasant flavor has new potato, dishes from it turn out fragrant and appetizing.
Instruction
1. Take young potato and peel it. It is very convenient to do it by means of a metal brush for washing of ware. If potato not too young, peel it by means of a usual knife, cutting off a thin skin very thinly.
2. Cut potatoes on halves or quarters. Small potato doesn't need to be cut. Try that potatoes were approximately identical size.
3. Take a pan of the necessary size, pour in it cold water then put on average fire and bring to the boil. When water begins to boil, lower fire and put the peeled new potato in water. If you want to receive more dense potato, you salt it at the very end of preparation if you want potato to turn out soft and razvarenny, you salt it at the beginning of cooking.
4. You cook potato on slow fire within 15-30 minutes, previously having covered a pan. Preparation time of potatoes depends on its sizes, you can check readiness by means of a toothpick. Don't use a sharp knife as potato can be scattered on several parts for readiness check at all, and it will strongly spoil appearance of a dish. When potatoes are ready, accurately drain water from a pan.
5. Cover a pan with boiled new potato with a kitchen towel and leave for fifteen minutes. After time lay out potatoes in a dish or on plates.
6. Serve boiled new potato with fresh greens and vegetable oil. For this purpose small cut green onions, fennel and parsley, add greens to potatoes then fill a dish with vegetable oil. It is better to take oil with a smell that boiled potatoes turned out even more tasty and more fragrantly. Also you can fill a dish with dense sour cream.
7. Boiled young potato is ready! Such potatoes will be an excellent garnish for meat and fish dishes.
