Good whisky always transparent, it testifies to purity of water and observance of the production technology. Color of whisky can vary from light yellow to saturated brown, but it shouldn't be muddy or contain a deposit. There is quite easy way to distinguish quality whisky. Properly shake up a bottle and look at the turned-out vials of air. They have to be very large and keep long. Good whisky has a brisk taste and soft long aftertaste, the smack or a smell of alcohol shouldn't be felt at all. Normal whisky has malt or oak soft and pleasant aroma.
