Instruction
1. If roof too low, accurately sort it, build on low walls. Height of walls should not be big, otherwise it will be not penthouse, but the second floor any more. The main advantages of penthouse — simplicity, speed and profitability of construction will be lost. Then collect roof again. For wall construction of penthouse use the same material of which the house is built.
2. Execute heat-insulating contour for warming of penthouse. The contour for thermal insulation has to pass on perimeter of all room. The chosen heater needs to be protected from moisture influence outside. From the inside of heater lay vapor barrier.
3. Directly under roof equip air vent. As a rule, heater is laid between rafters. Pay to places of adjunction of heater to beams special attention. Especially carefully warm end wall.
4. Glaze penthouse. On attics, as a rule, windows are not provided. There are two ways of installation of windows in penthouses. The first way — installation of windows directly in the roof plane. The second way — installation of vertical windows on slopes, in the "birdhouses" (acting boxes). Independently establish vertical windows only if such "birdhouses" are already available.
5. It is much simpler to beginners to establish windows in the roof plane. Such designs are reliable, them it is easier to warm and equip waterproofing. They are convenient also that pass much more light and heat in penthouse. Now the market of dormer-windows offers ready sets. Protection against noise, waterproofing, slopes, sometimes even rollets, curtains or blinds is provided in those. But life cycle of such window set depends on quality of mounting therefore strictly adhere to the instruction.
6. Perform finishing work. Finishing is carried out practically as well as in any other room. Only the ceiling form is special. From below "sew up" rafters in materials depending on future interior decisions. It is possible to leave rafters open.
7. Covering in case with open rafters arrange above. Ideal option — tree. It does not demand further finishing. Also for internal covering it is possible to use gypsum plasterboards, chipboard, gypsum-fiber sheets, fibreboard. For painting use aqueous emulsion inks which easily wash, do not burn out, quickly dry. It is possible to paste also traditional wall-paper.
