The parquet board is good alternative to block parquet. This floor covering has appeared relatively recently, however has managed to win popularity around the world. Demand for it grows also in our country.
Structure of parquet board multilayered. It consists of wood layers which are stuck together among themselves. The top layer is made of wood – oak, maple, beech, nut, cherry and also more exotic options – acacias, wenge, tic, to merba. Than this layer is thicker, than the parquet board is more durable. The center represents the stuck together short lamels from plate of HDF or pine wood. The base layer is most often made of fir-tree plywood. Standard length of parquet board is 2-2.5 meters, width – up to 20 cm, and thickness – 7-26 mm.

Because of multilayered structure of parquet board it is quite often compared to laminate. However the parquet board has before it undoubted advantage - it is the real tree, that is eco-friendly material. Parquet boards do not demand additional treatment as the covering is sold by already ground and covered oil or varnish.
Experts note that it is rather easy to stack parquet boards: they are adjusted to the sizes of the room and stacked to each other, collecting by means of thorns and grooves which are located on edge and side edges.
One more advantage - "heat-insulated floors" are not obstacle for laying of this floor covering. It is necessary to choose just correctly parquet board – it has to have thickness of 13-15 mm. At the same time in floor design surely there has to be waterproofing course. It is very simple to look after parquet board. The covering should be wiped with soft dry fabric, it is possible to use the vacuum cleaner. If you do damp cleaning, it is necessary to wring out rag well. On surface spots can appear – they can be eliminated by means of cleaning agent without ammonia. Of course, the parquet board has certain shortcomings which low water resistance is among. At strong leakage floor is deformed and is not subject to recovery. Partial restoration is possible only if boards have laid on plywood. - Choosing parquet board, consider that the light covering is capable to increase visually the room, so, will be suitable for small rooms. In the spacious room it is possible to use more dark options.
